Dean was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020 after obtaining his JD from the University of Windsor and his JD from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2019. Prior, Dean obtained his BA (Specialized Honours) in Philosophy from York University in 2016.
Before joining B + A, Dean was an associate lawyer at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto, where he maintained a broad litigation practice that included occupiers’ liability, property damage, insurance coverage, motor vehicle accidents, real property, fraud, contract, fire loss, subrogation, employment, slip and falls, and defamation disputes. He also maintains a small pro bono practice in criminal defence, landlord tenant board disputes and human rights disputes. He was recently co-counsel on a three-week virtual trial (Sauve v. Steele, Milton Superior Court of Justice) in which his client was awarded $120,000 in costs. Dean enjoys the outdoors, motorcycle riding, and cheering for the Detroit Lions.
