Susanne Ilic

Susanne was called to the Ontario bar in 2002.

Before becoming a lawyer, she worked for close to a decade with the Ontario Ministry of Corrections and the Elizabeth Fry Society, supervising, educating and counselling adult inmates and young offenders.

Susanne joined Boghosian + Allen LLP in 2013 with over 12 years of practice experience from a reputed insurance defence firm, where she defended a wide range of specialty insurance claims, including claims against regulated health professionals (dentists, physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists and chiropractors), insurance brokers, engineers and municipalities.

Her passion for defending municipalities has continued to evolve at Boghosian + Allen, where her practice has expanded to include the defence of other public sector entities, including the Province of Ontario.  Her corrections experience has proved invaluable in defending the Province in its prison claims and also, in defending police liability claims.  She also regularly defends school boards and colleges as well as all manner of actions involving alleged breaches of Ontario’s Occupiers’ Liability Act.

Susanne approaches the practice of law with passion, confidence, sound judgment and a thorough understanding of her clients’ needs.

She is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, the Advocates’ Society, Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Dispute Resolution Institute, the Practising Law Institute and the Toronto Lawyers Association.

Susanne is a certified yoga instructor and an avid NBA aficionado.
